| LEAGUE NAME: PAROCHIAL JUNIOR FORMATIVE SOCCER LEAGUE
(5TH-6TH GRADES) (BOYS LEAGUE AND GIRLS LEAGUE) BASE RULES: TSSAA - NATIONAL FEDERATION OF STATE HIGH SCHOOL ASSOCIATIONS SEASON: MARCH 1ST THROUGH MAY 15. PRACTICE MAY NOT BEGIN BEFORE MARCH 1ST. ELIGIBILITY 1. Team rosters must be submitted to the DAD before the first regular season game. Failure to submit MAY result in forfeiture of the first game. It may also result in suspension of the coach and forfeiture of future games. 2. It is the coach’s responsibility to control fans and/or parents during the games. 3. Each player participating in the Junior Formative League must meet eligibility requirements set forth by the Diocesan Athletic Council. 4. The Junior Formative League will be limited to students in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. No children in K-3 will be eligible to participate in the Junior Formative League. All eligible children at participating schools should be allowed to participate. The Diocesan Athletic Committee admonishes “cutting”, and encourages the participation of all students who wish to play. If a school fields more than one team, these teams must be divided equally. LEAGUE RULES AND REGULATIONS 5. Total weekly practice and game time shall not exceed a maximum of 8 hours. Any practice session shall not exceed 2 hours in length. A game shall count as 1 and 1/2 hours. The maximum number of game sessions and/or practice sessions shall not exceed 4 per week. 6. A game shall consist of two (2) halves, each lasting twenty-five (25) minutes. There shall be a five (5) minute half-time break. 7. It is recommended that all players play half the game. 8. The league shall provide one (1) official per game. Each team will provide one (1) linesman per game. 9. There will be no league standings kept, no league trophies given, and no post season tournaments held. 10. There is no overtime. A game may end in a tie. 11. A school may elect to field a co-ed team. If so, the team will be placed in the boys' league. 12. A player is allowed to wear a cast, as long as the cast is soft (wrapped) and as long as the player has a physician's note allowing the child to play. 13. Any player, coach, or spectator ejected for any reason will not be allowed to attend the next game. |
