2. WINTER SPORTS:
a. Basketball
Basketball season will begin on November 1. There may be no practices before this date. With DAD’s advance approval, a school may have 2 one-hour tryout sessions on dates approved by DAD.
Total weekly practice and game time shall not exceed a maximum of six hours. Any practice session shall not exceed two hours in length. A game shall count as 1 and ½ hours. The maximum number of game sessions and/or practice sessions shall not exceed four per week.
3. SPRING SPORTS:
a. Volleyball, Soccer
Volleyball and Soccer seasons will begin on March 1. There may be no practices before this date.

D. COACHES TRAINING AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. COACH'S RESPONSIBILITY: It is each coach's responsibility to:
a. Establish a continuity of teaching so that the player's knowledge of the game will grow from year to year in a logical, cumulative manner.
b. Ensure that every child who enters the sports program is taught the fundamentals of the game and how to play as a team member and the elements of sportsmanship.
c. Attend all organizational meetings of the sport.
2. AGE REQUIREMENTS: Each head coach will be at least 18 years of age or older and present at all activities. We also encourage all teams to have assistant coaches 18 years of age or older. |
