| Parochial League Junior Golf Guidelines
In order to accommodate all levels of experience, the league will be divided into three divisions, with experience and ability determining division placement. Division I – One per School Division I is designed for the more experienced players. This Division will play 9-hole events and are expected to score no higher than 55 for nine holes. The League expects Division I players to be exemplary role models for all other players. Players must be very knowledgeable of the USGA Rules of Golf and course etiquette. Division II Division II is designed for experienced players that score higher than 55 for nine holes. This Division will play 7-hole events. The League expects Division II players to be knowledgeable of the USGA Rules of Golf and course etiquette. Division III Division III is designed for players that have little, or no, on course experience. Division III players can be categorized as players just beginning to learn the game of golf. This Division will play 4-hole events. Golfers must walk and carry their own clubs. Sharing of clubs is prohibited. Pull carts are acceptable. No riding carts unless physically, either temporarily or permanently, unable to walk the course. A physician’s statement will be required BEFORE any exemption. Boys will tee from the closest Men’s tee to the hole, usually white, and girls will tee from the Ladies tee, usually red. Rules are governed by the USGA Rules of Golf and local course conditions.
