| Scoring
Stroke Play There are several different ways to score a series of tournaments. In order to be fair to all players, at all skill levels, a scoring system similar to the one attached will be adopted. This “set” number of points-per-place is designed to reward the top half of the field, but not overly penalize the bottom half. Stroke Play Scoring Matrix Place Points Earned Place Points Earned Place Points Earned Place Points Earned 1st 150 10th 75 19th 46 28th 28 2nd 130 11th 70 20th 44 29th 26 3rd 120 12th 67 21st 42 30th 25 4th 110 13th 64 22nd 40 31st 25 5th 100 14th 61 23rd 38 32nd 25 6th 95 15th 58 24th 36 33rd 25 7th 90 16th 55 25th 34 34th 25 8th 85 17th 52 26th 32 35th 25 9th 80 18th 49 27th 30 36th 25 Ties In the event of a tie, each tied player will receive the number of points designated by the finish, the next place points will be determined by the number of tied golfers finishing ahead. (Example: Three golfers finish tied for 1st place. Each of the three will receive 150 points each. The next lowest score will receive 4th place points, (110 points), since three golfers finished ahead.) All points will be kept on a team and individual basis, with the totals from each team member making up the total team score. PAGE 2 NEXT PAGE |
