| Caddie Duties
A caddie may: 1. Assist the player with club selection 2. Assist the player with alignment of both his body and the club 3. Count scores for fellow competitors and assist with scoring 4. Assist players with searching for balls, pace of play, and etiquette 5. Attend the flagstick 6. Find a Rules Official for any questions concerning the rules 7. Report to the scoring area immediately following play 8. Encourage the player to have fun A caddie may not: 1. Carry a player’s clubs 2. Assist the player in any way during the swing 3. Attempt to make rulings 4. Touch the putting surface in an effort to aid the player No player may have more than one caddie at a time. Caddies are encouraged not to emphasize winning, get too involved, or “over coach”. Any penalty incurred by the caddie will be resolved against the player. Division III – Individual Play (6th, 7th, or 8th Graders) Division III is designed for players that have little, or no, on course experience. Division III players can be categorized as players just beginning to learn the game of golf. This Division will have three 1-hour golf clinics at Vinny Links and an end of year tournament with an appropriate number of holes. Golfers must walk and carry their own clubs. Sharing of clubs is prohibited. Pull carts are acceptable. No riding carts unless physically, either temporarily or permanently, unable to walk the course. A physician’s statement will be required BEFORE any exemption. Boys will tee from the closest Men’s tee to the hole, usually white, and girls will tee from the Ladies tee, usually red. Page 3 Next |
